ROLE PURPOSE/ACCOUNTABILITIES

This role will help establish a pool of flexible, highly-motivated, well-rounded, willing to relocate candidates for future management positions within Syngenta’s Supply Chain or other groups, where business needs, candidates’ interests and their skills intersect. 

 

  • Develop a broad understanding of the Supply Chain and other functions within Syngenta – NAFTA Region.
  • Make strong personal contribution to helping the business achieve all financial and non-financial objectives.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

Critical Knowledge:

 

  • B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; Agriculture, Business, Chemistry, Science.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

 

Critical Skills:

 

  • Flexible, mobile, willing to relocate, and comfortable working with people of diverse cultures & backgrounds.
  • Willing to relocate as required by business needs – across the NAFTA Region (U.S., Mexico, Canada) or to other international locations, if necessary.

Critical Experience: 

 

  • Participation in team-based activities/projects.
  • Demonstration of leadership abilities, either on-the-job or in a school environment.
  • In lieu of post-graduate job experience, minimum of two semesters (or quarters) in an internship or cooperative education program.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Initial orientation in Greensboro, NC.
  • Travel requirements – may vary between approximately 5% - 75%, depending upon assignment.
  • Subsequent training assignments will range from approximately 3 to 9 months each and span a period of approximately 2 years. Locations will vary throughout the U.S. and could possibly include Canada and Mexico.
  • Upon completion of the Supply Chain training program, the candidate must be willing to relocate anywhere within the continental United States, whenever and wherever a permanent position becomes available.
